Dr. Jay Torbeih, BSc, OD

Dr. Jay Torbeih is a highly experienced optometrist with a passion for providing personalized care to his patients. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 2000, followed by his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2004. Dr. Torbeih has worked in various clinical settings throughout Edmonton, which led to the establishment of Total Focus Northgate. He later expanded his vision by growing the Eyecare Solutions Group across the city.

Patients appreciate Dr. Torbeih’s approachable and professional manner, which makes their visits feel personalized and comfortable. He is committed to addressing a wide range of vision care needs, from pediatric exams to senior eye health, with a special focus on treating Dry Eye. Dr. Torbeih finds fulfillment in building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them make informed decisions about their eye care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Torbeih enjoys spending time with family and engaging in outdoor activities. He is proud to be a part of the Castledowns Vision Centre team, where he continues to bring comprehensive care and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to every patient.

Dr. Abdu Alazeez Abougoush , BSc, OD

Dr. Abdu Alazeez Abougoush is an enthusiastic and dedicated optometrist who is committed to providing quality care to patients of all ages. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 2017 and then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the International American University in Puerto Rico, graduating in 2021.

Dr. Abougoush first joined Total Focus in 2014 as an optical assistant, where he developed a deep interest in optometry and worked hard to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.

Known for his friendly and caring approach, Dr. Abougoush specializes in pediatric care and diabetic management, and he is dedicated to providing the best possible outcomes for his patients. He values building long-term relationships with his patients and making sure they feel confident in their vision care choices.

In his free time, Dr. Abougoush enjoys staying active, exploring new technology, and spending time with his family. He is proud to be part of the Castledowns Vision Centre team, where he continues to deliver compassionate care to his community.
